Breast Cancer

In July 2022, Laura Melling was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has a grade 3 mass that has moved into the lymph nodes on both sides of her chest. The biopsy determined that she is HER2+ and will need about 4 months of chemotherapy to reduce the size of the mass and prevent the cancer from spreading further, followed by surgery and radiation.

As you can imagine, the financial burden of this battle will be difficult. We have set up a Go Fund Me page to assist with Laura's medical expenses. She will also need to take a leave of absence from teaching first grade at Maple Glen Elementary School (WWS) while undergoing chemo. Donations aside, all Laura has asked for is prayer!
