Hi There,
Our gorgeous Neice Laura has had a serious accident while riding her motorbike. Laura was on her way to being a bit of a star but race 3 at Temora (Wagga) on Sunday put an end to the season. She has some serious damage - a fractured pelvis, fractures in her spine and hip, fractured ribs and a possible ACL. She airlifted from Wagga hospital to Sydney on Sunday for surgery but this was then pushed back to Monday afternoon. Late Monday she was told the surgery won’t be scheduled until next Tuesday (9 days after the accident).
Lesley, Laura’s Mum has been by her side since Laura arrived back in Sydney but is feeling totally useless. Lesley has a job but won’t be paid while being in Sydney with Laura. Darren, Laura’s Dad will commute from home to Sydney where they will stay in a motel close to the hospital. This is already taking its toll mentally and financially.
If you can help, even if it’s just a little it would be so appreciated. Laura needs her family with her and needs help from friends to get her back on her feet. She’s going to have a long (dirt) road in front of her.
