Laura Vanderwall-Hoese needs a wheelchair lift!!!
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kathy. I am coming to you, my friends, to ask for help. My very dear friend, Laura (Vanderwall) Hoese, has Multiple Sclerosis. Most know this already. She was diagnosed with M.S. about 12 years ago, shortly after Layne was born. For the last three years, her MS has become very aggressive and has left her unable to care for herself. She cannot walk, sit up, or transfer herself no longer. I help her most days by getting her cleaned up from her sleep and moving her to the living room with her Dunkin coffee and a blueberry muffin. I also take her to doctor appointments which are extremely important for her. Dan gets home from work in the evening and gets her back to bed until the next day to repeat our morning routine. Helping Laura for the last 3 years (home health experience with Kristen) is heartbreaking to see her struggle with this last relapse. The struggle to get her out of the house for doctor appointments is terrible. Not having Dan's help (due to work) I would get two to three guys to carry her down a flight of 8 stairs in her wheelchair and then to the car. She needs this lift so bad. Getting her to therapy, doctor visits, special appointments... and with the right help, Layne's games could be possible. There is no other way for Laura to get out of her house without this lift (the way her house is built, ramps are impossible). We have talked to a company that can install one for her but she needs a little help funding it. All donations are going to help pay for the lift and construction that is needed to install the lift. Every penny is deeply appreciated. Even if you can't spare a dime, prayers are always free!!! Please, pray for Laura! Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much!!!
