Life comes at you fast sometimes...My daughter, Laura, had emergency surgery for what she assumed was a herniated disc, expecting the numbness and pain in her leg to be solved when she woke up from the anesthesia. However, while the surgery was successful, she is left with numbness in both legs and feet and in her "saddle area." The official diagnosis is Cauda Equina Syndrome. She is able to walk with great difficulty, and since her sales job requires customer calls, it is very difficult, and exhausting for her to manage, even with a rollator. She needs a scooter and a lift for the car, plus physical therapy, custom-made braces, a chair lift, and other items too numerous to mention. We have had a generous offer to help with the Scooter; however, if you would like to help her meet some of her other out-of-pocket expenses, she would be grateful. Every amount helps, no matter how small.
