Laura's Teeth Repair Fund

After no dental coverage for 21 years, a chronic infection from a broken tooth and a generous friend's offer to pay for an initial visit sent me to a dentist. His evaluation: 2 broken teeth that need surgical removal ASAP, a broken crown needs a replacement, a missing filling and several other cavities need filling, and scaling and root planing are necessary. Total estimate: $3,734. This is an estimate, and in my experience the actual bill is higher, so I'm saying an even $4,000. My next visit is April 10th, to remove the worst tooth- the infected one broken off in my gum- so I'm starting this GFM now. Every dollar helps. I'm on a fixed income and Medicare doesn't cover this, nor does the dentist here accept it, anyway. As I'm trying hard to recover my health, teeth are essential to that recovery.
