Laura's Emergency medical bills

We are starting this GoFundMe for our good friend Laura. She recently had complications with a dental procedure.

She got a temporary crown put on over the weekend. That Monday the crown fell off, and she went in again to get it fixed. She got a few stitches and was told the recovery would be painful. Thursday night she couldn’t sleep because of the pain, Friday morning she couldn’t breathe because of the swelling. That morning she went into the ER and was rushed into emergency surgery.

An infection formed and led to an abscess in her jaw that had to be drained through her neck. She stayed overnight for monitoring because they were worried about her throat swelling up again and the possible fatality.

She has been unable to work for the past few weeks and is now dealing with the financial burden from not only her dental procedure but also from the emergency surgery.

In order to pay for the expenses she has gotten two more jobs in addition to her serving and cleaning job. Although we know Laura could “tough it out” we care about her and want to do what we can to support her.

Laura has done so much for our community, including creating We’re All Mental which is an organization that focuses on creating a space where we can help and support each other when we are struggling with our mental health.

Her expenses from the emergency surgery are roughly $2,500. She still has to go back to get her tooth fixed (which means more bills). Our hope is to raise enough to cover her surgery expenses and a bit more to cover her follow-up dental procedure. Any money left over will be donated to We’re All Mental which will help with the cost of turning it into an official non-profit and other related expenses.

We ask that you help our friend with a donation amount of $5, $20, $50, or $100 dollars. Any amount helps.
