Laureen's surgery and other medical expenses

Hi, my name is Laureen Pew. I was supposed to have surgery to remove a tumor from my back in October. Then both my husband and I got severly sick with COVID. We are both vaccinated and thankfully we are recovering, slowly. We were both out of work for an extended period of time. While I had enough leave time to cover being out, only a portion of that time of was paid for my husband.

My surgery has now been rescheduled for December. I have insurance, but it only covers some of the cost and it will end up being almost a $1000 for the procedure. I had money set aside to cover the cost, and had talked to the facility about setting up a payment plan. Unfortunately, with both of us being out of work the money I had set aside will now go to bills like rent and utilities.

I agonized about asking for help

We are blessed overall in so many ways. We both are employed and are on the road to recovery from COVID. But, I feel like we just need a little assistance. Especially, since I know I'll be facing more doctor's bills from this month. When I have had extra, I have given it to others and now I'm hoping that will be repaid. No pressure to give. Only if you feel you'd like to and you can. I am.so grateful for all that we have and hope that this next year will bring us better fortunes. With thanks! Laureen
