Laurel Cavner’s Cancer journey
As many of my family, close friends and clients know I have been telling the story of my friend Laurel Cavner and her courageous fight and
battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer for the
last 2 1/2 years. This incredible Lady has
completed 3 rounds of chemo infusions and
one round of oral chemo since her diagnosis in May 2018. Although, most worked pretty well for a while, the last chemo was no longer
working and the only recourse now is a clinical trial. Laurel will be starting her cancer trial in Birmingham, AL on Feb 15 and will be
participating in these trials for an extended
period of time. Unfortunately, all the lodging
facilities for these cancer patients are closed
due to COVID which leaves all expenses to be paid by the patient not to mention food and
travel.
Laurel is a single parent to her daughter Chloe who is a freshman at Mercer in Macon, GA
and Cole a freshman at Islands High School in Savannah, GA. Laurel’s late husband Mike
passed away suddenly 7 years ago leaving her to raise her kids on her own.
I have never met such a kind hearted,
optimistic and selfless person in my life. She
has truly been an inspiration to me and taught
me the value of faith, family and love.
She is fighting this demon!!!
I ask you all to please pray these trials work
for Laurel and all the other Cancer patients
participating in these trials with her
Thank you,
Laurel’s loving and enduring friend Cami ❤️
