Laurel Hopper and Nikhil
Donation protected
On January 18th, 2022, this world and our community lost a beautiful woman and doting mother. We are incredibly heartbroken.
Laurel will always be remembered as the intelligent, immensely caring, and wonderfully creative person that she was. She was an artist. She was a friend. She was an advocate for women. But most importantly, she was a mother. And if you knew Laurel, you knew Nikhil. She loved her boy like nothing else. Anything and everything she did was for him and him alone. Financially she didn't have much, but what she did have, she'd dedicate to his love of soccer. Excellent soccer leagues come at high prices, and she knew that, but she worked hard to make it happen for Nikhil. He is highly focused, dedicated, and talented, and Laurel always believed strongly in his potential.
We have started this fundraiser in hopes of continuing support for Nikhil, as Nikhil has suddenly become a young boy without his doting mother. Any donations you gift will go straight to him as he navigates through life without his biggest supporter, Laurel. No doubt this is going to be so very hard as the two of them were extremely close. These funds will go towards soccer, his passion, something that has always been his go-to for coping, and we hope to continue this "therapy" as well as this dream for him and Laurel. This money will continue to keep him in the leagues he loves and the ones that Laurel was beyond proud to see him playing for. Funds will also go towards travel for these leagues, uniforms, and any other leftover funds that will go to Nikhil and his needs.
Please hug the ones you love, tell them you love them, and show them you care. You never know what tomorrow brings. Say a prayer for Laurel's son, family, and friends. Send some strong healing vibes as they continue on the journey ahead without her. Laurel's energy and smile will live on, and we are beyond grateful to have gotten to see it often during her short time on this earth.
