It is with our deepest sadness to inform you that we have lost a bright light in the world with the passing of Lauren Starcevich. In a senseless incident on March 27, 2021 on a highway out side of Las Vegas an impaired driver crashed into the vehicle carrying Lauren and her blended family during their Spring Break road trip. While the impaired driver survived (he is under police custody), not only was Lauren’s life taken but also fiancé Michael Durmeier and his 12 year old daughter Georgia a girl who possessed the pure essence of kindness and compassion that this world is missing. Her younger brother Jackson was airlifted to the children’s trauma unit and is still in critical condition. Then by the the Grace of God, Lauren’s 6 year old daughter Emerson survive the crash with a broken arm after she released herself from the the overturned vehicle and walked out in to the open road where she was grasped by eye witnesses who saw the disaster take place.

Emerson is in route back to Idaho where she will live full time with her amazing father, Josh Myers . Emerson is extremely lucky to have such an amazing support system behind her to ensure that she gets through this and is able to live a long and healthy life knowing that she has an angel watching over her from above.

Lauren is survived by her daughter Emerson, mother Deborah Starcevich, father John Starcevich, sister Olivia Crawford, brother-in-law Travis Crawford, and her 3 nieces Jocelyn Starcevich, Jamison & Rylee

We ask that you lift all of us up in your prayers to help us navigate the road ahead. Please continue to pray for Jackson to pull through.

I have created this  Go Fund Me account that is directly to support Lauren & Emerson and their family members that have traveled to Vegas and on to Idaho to make sense of this tragedy. All funds will help to offset the cost of travel expenses, funeral arrangements and all the left over proceeds will be added into Emerson’s savings account that her Mother, Lauren, set up for her before her birth.

Lauren is and will be missed by so many, she was a bright light that brought such joy and positivity into all of all lives that she has touched. We love her so much and will honor her by making Emerson’s happiness & well being our #1 priority for the rest of her life.
