LAUREN BOSS LEGACY FOUNDATION

On October 25, 2022 my beautiful daughter Lauren passed away from SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST. She was a vibrant 21 year old who had a love for life. She was a sister with a large community of friends who had the happiest disposition, filled with kindness & infectious to anyone she came in contact with.

On that catastrophic day, Lauren was alone in her car which made it impossible for her to receive the immediate medical attention that could have saved her life.

She had no symptoms, no warning signs, she went to the gym less then 24 hours before her passing & we giggled on the phone 3 hours before Lauren’s beautiful heart just stopped.

SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST is due to arrhythmic causes. These usually result in sudden loss of consciousness with or without palpitations. This is why training is vital.

I do not wish what my family went through on anyone else, so we have decided because of the way Lauren lived her life it would be virtually impossible to pass up the opportunity not to turn Lauren’s light into a legacy. This is why we are starting THE LAUREN BOSS LEGACY FOUNDATION.

Prevention starts with preparation. We want to see as many young get heart screening, train all on CPR and AED use & become educated about SUDDEN CARDIAC ARREST. By doing so you may be able to save a life.

Through the Foundation we have set out to place AED’s in areas of need, concentrating on community based gathering areas. We also need to raise funds to train as many people to learn CPR, have ECG/EKG screening events in the community and spreading awareness of cardiac arrest in the young.

We also plan to bless future college students with scholarships in Lauren’s honor. Students that exhibit behaviors just like Lauren’s spoken about in Galatians 5:22-23. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self control”, all of which Lauren exuded on every level.

THE LAUREN BOSS FOUNDATION has helped me grieve with hope, knowing my heartbreaking loss will help someone else’s heart be saved.
