Lauren Chen's Dad needs our help!

Lauren's dad lives in Canada, and has been going to the hospital for tests since last winter. His last scan revealing what they now know is liver cancer was in July.

It took him over 2 months to see a specialist through the Canadian healthcare system and get a diagnosis!

Lauren was able to get her dad in to the Mayo Clinic is the U.S. on Oct 2nd for testing.

In the coming weeks and months, they will need to come back to the U.S. again for possible treatments and/or surgery.  As everyone knows, healthcare costs are already burdensome to most, but to add costs of the travel to the U.S. from Canada is going to be a heavy financial burden their family.

Who I am...My name is Melissa. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I met Lauren via social media a couple years ago. After watching her plea for help (the link I've provided above), I decided to reach out to her and ask if I could start a fundraising campaign to help with the financial burden of medical care for her father.  Her father lives in Canada and the healthcare system has been slow to diagnose him, and now also to schedule treatment for her dad's liver cancer diagnosis.
She was hesitant at first when I offered to start a GoFundMe, but after her dad had one brief visit to the Mayo Clinic in AZ, and discovered the exorbitant costs that would be involved in treating his cancer, Lauren acquiesced. I immediately added Lauren to this campaign and have given her full access making her brother based in the U.S. the beneficiary to ALL monies raised via this account. She is in complete control. Lauren will use this money for medical treatments for her father.
