Lauren Holmes Surgery and Care Assistance

Dear friends, family, and our incredible community,

I am reaching out to you today on behalf of our dear friends, Lauren Holmes and Daniel Lambert. As some of you know, Lauren is scheduled for a laparoscopic procedure later this month, an essential step towards addressing her health concerns. As one of Lauren and Daniel's close friends, I have witnessed their unwavering love and support for each other and our community, and now it's our turn to rally around them during this challenging time.

Over the past few years, Lauren's health has been unpredictable, leaving her with many unanswered questions. Finally, after a recent ultrasound, the doctors discovered a dermoid, fibroid, and her ovaries adhesed to the back of her uterus. After extensive discussions with her medical team and the invaluable input from many of you, Lauren has made the decision to undergo surgery. The procedure will involve removing one ovary, the dermoid and fibroid, uterus, fallopian tubes, and any endometriosis found. Her surgery is scheduled for January 29th. Currently, she is mostly bedridden due to pain and fatigue, although her medication regimen has provided some relief. However, her true recovery will only begin after the operation.

Lauren has been unable to work for a month now, and while Daniel has done his best to cover their expenses, her condition now requires near full-time care and attention. Fortunately, some of you have already extended financial support, making a significant difference and allowing them to focus on Lauren's comfort until the surgery. With the operation approaching, they still need our continued support to cover bills, food, and any additional care needs during her recovery. They have estimated that $5000 should suffice to meet these requirements.

As a close-knit community, this is an achievable goal. I understand times are tough for everyone, but I also know the power of our collective compassion and the love we have for Lauren.
