Lauren Strong! #Warrior

Hello family, friends & community,

Thank you for taking the time to read this today. We are starting this fundraiser on behalf of our daughter, sister, niece, friend and most importantly proud mother, Lauren Dye.

In April, Lauren was diagnosed with stage 4 peritoneal cancer, a rare type of cancer. Peritoneal cancer is the invasion of the serous membrane lining the peritoneal cavity by malignant cells. Due to the lack of symptoms, it is often diagnosed in the later stages. She went into the doctor thinking she had an upper respiratory issue. After further review, the doctor advised to go to the emergency room. She was about to get released after seven days and many tests, thrilled to be going home to her baby boy and just before she was about to be leave the hospital, the doctors informed her they had found the cancer.

As you can imagine, Lauren and her entire family’s world has been turned upside down. Lauren is a mother to William Ryan, a beautiful and energetic two year old boy.

Lauren has already embarked on this difficult journey with a positive attitude. She has taken the first steps with chemo treatments and is now facing surgery.

Your donation will assist them with any expenses that arise due to Lauren’s treatment plan. She has been deemed unable to work during this time and the medical bills are starting to mount.
