Lauren Whitehead Needs A Liver Transplant
Please Help Us Raise the Money To Ensure Her Survival
Lauren Whitehead and Wonder Woman are on each other’s speed dials… And for anyone that knows Lauren, the fact that she hangs out with superheroes on a regular basis isn’t really much of a stretch. In her career, she’s worked with giants like Hulk Hogan, Captain James T. Kirk, Travis Pastrana, Taylor Swift, and a Minion or two. Lauren is a licensing and toy powerhouse.
But if you had to describe Lauren in one word, it is HAPPY. Always happy. No matter what the situation, Lauren is one of those people that always looks on the bright side. Her laugh is infectious; and many reading this may agree that she laughs more than anyone they’ve ever met. Others may also use these words to describe Lauren: ferociously-funny, gregarious, spirited, kind, caring, loving, loyal, confident, intelligent and tenacious. She is all these.
Many know Lauren via the licensing and toy industry that she has been veteran to for 20 years. Whether you know her from JAKKS Pacific, MGAE, Spinmaster or Paramount Studios, she has been honored (past winner of the coveted Women in Toys Wonder Woman of the Year award), and praised by her industry peers for always being creative, smart, and fair in her her business transactions. Lauren has always looked to try and create win/win deals, and worked with licensees and licensors to ensure partners remain friends long after the contracts expired.
In essence, Lauren is beloved by many, esteemed by all, and, right now, she needs your help.
Less than six months ago, Lauren received tragic news which has turned her entire world upside down; she had contracted Hepatitis B. Commonly referred to as “a silent killer,” the diagnosis was followed by a rapid deterioration of her liver, and now liver failure. As we speak, our champion is fighting for her life.
One thing that Lauren has no shortage of is pride. And until her situation became most dire, she was reluctant to ask for, or accept, any help. It’s just who she is. Unfortunately, her situation in the last month has gone from bad to worse, and she has been told by doctors that she is out of time. She’s working on getting herself on the liver transplant list, which as you can image is expensive with much not covered by insurance.
Please help us to raise funds to give our cherished friend Lauren a second chance at life. The funds raised will pay for much of the medical and recovery costs of the transplant. Lauren's mom Sally Whitehead has been by her side every minute of this ordeal and will be overseeing the distribution of funds for her and making sure the monies are being used to help her in this time of need.
Your thoughts and prayers are also very much appreciated. God bless you.
