Lauren Mayer Medical Emergency Fund
Donation protected
Lauren contracted a virulent strep infection that traveled to both lungs causing double pneumonia, and into her blood stream, resulting in sepsis. She was admitted to the ICU on July 6th and she will be hospitalized until July 25th or July 26th or possibly longer, depending on her progress.
After discharge, doctor’s orders are to rest at home for at least a month without working and then very slowly resume activities.
Lauren is a major bread winner in her family of 4 which includes a son in college and her elderly mother who lives with Lauren and her husband. The loss of Lauren’s income will impact the family’s ability to pay living expenses and the newly-incurred medical expenses that insurance does not cover.
The situation is urgent and the family needs the funds immediately.
