Lauren's Lungs

Lauren Nelson is 26 years old. She was born with Cystic Fibrosis. When she was young she lived in Naples, Italy with her mother who was in the Navy. For a majority of Lauren's life, she struggled with CF. In her early 20's the disease started to take over her whole life. At the age of 24 Lauren underwent a double lung transplant surgery. Within less than a year, her immune system began to reject her new lungs. Lauren is now in the hospital in critical condition. She is intubated and not breathing on her own. Due to her Cystic Fibrosis, she doesn't have any type of life insurance, or secondary insurance. Her medical bills have been accumulating over time and her mother, after 18 years in the Navy, is a veteran that is on a pension. Her family is in desperate need of any finacial aid that can be provided to help fund these unpaid bills, and potential funeral costs. Lauren is loved by everyone, and has touched so many lives with her bright, caring, and beautiful personality. We humbly ask for donations to help fund this life long struggle that Cystic Fibrosis has put on all of our lives.
