Lauren’s Heart Transplant Fund❤️

Hi everyone,

My name is Lauren and I was born with a CHD. For those who don’t know what that is, it stands for Congenital Heart Defect. Meaning, I was born with a heart disease. In my case, I was born with something called L-TGA (Left Transposition of The Great Arteries). It pretty much means that my heart is “backwards” (my chambers and valves in my heart are all on opposite sides). This causes me to be in severe heart failure and I will always be, until I receive a heart transplant. I am 28 years old. I have had 4 open heart surgeries, I have a defibrillator, a mechanical heart valve, and have had many heart catheterizations. 

I just had a heart catheterization on Tuesday (January 11) and found out that I need to go ahead and meet with the heart transplant team up in Gainesville and do an evaluation to get on the heart transplant list. I haven’t been able to work at all for a while now, due to my heart being overworked. So right now we are living off of one income. I do receive disability but it’s not even enough to pay for my bills. 

We are just trying to save up money to be able to afford our trips up to Gainesville to see my doctors. Any help is extremely appreciated!!!
