Laurie Woods War Veteran Legacy
Donation protected
My name is Laurie Woods. I served in the Royal Australian Air Force as a bomb aimer/navigator in the Australian Lancaster 460 Squadron under Bomber Command. 44% of 125,000 aircrew were killed. I was one of the lucky ones. I did 35 missions over Europe and survived. Unfortunately, many of my friends and colleagues did not return. I have written four books to remember those men.
I need your help. I will be 99 years old this year. Before I turn 100, I would like to donate one copy of my books to every school in Australia. This desire comes from the need to help maintain our war history for generations to come and to continue to commemorate those who died for our country during the World War II.
