Laurie's Heart

After a couple of trips to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, on February 21st, Laurie had open-heart surgery to repair her Mitral Valve, which was leaking profusely. During the surgery, the doctor was also able to add a “freeze” to her heart to prevent any future arrhythmic patterns, as well as removing a blood clot to prevent any strokes. The surgery was successful and she is currently in the ICU at Mayo clinic. Within the next day, we are hoping to have her moved to a normal room and there we will see her best recovery. Due to the surgery, Laurie will be off a work for 2-3 months as she fully recovers. On top of, medical, house, and phone bills, we decided to make a GoFundMe in order to help Laurie for the next couple of months.
