Laurie's recovery from bilateral pulmonary Embolism surgery.

Hi I am Michael, Laurie's husband, as may of her Facebook friends already know. Let me tell you from the begining what happened. Last Monday Laurie was home from work as she was not feeling very well that morning. at bout 11:00 am She called me at work, I had a hard time hearing her as she could barley talk. she told me to come home that she had passed out in the bathroom and was having a very hard time breathing. When I got home she was struggling to breath, she was cold and clammy. I called 911 and they came and brought her to the hospital. They put her in ICU and began running several tests. EKG, chest X-ray, blood work and CT scan. Turns out that Laurie had a massive bilateral pulmonary Embolism (blood clots) in both lungs. They immediately did an emergency pulmonary thrombectomy. The procedure was successful, but the next day they did a sonogram on her legs to check for clots and found a significant clot in her leg. Later that day they did a IVC filter procedure to prevent the clot from traveling to vital organs. Later that day after a minor coughing episode the incision site from the thrombectomy opened up, and with being on blood thinners caused massive bleeding. They called a rapid response team to her room and after about 30 minutes were able to stop the bleeding.
Sorry that was long, but I wanted everyone to know what Laurie has been through over the past 7 days.
Moving forward the likelihood of Laurie returning to work anytime soon is unclear. So we are asking for medical and basic financial help through this difficult time.
Thank you in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated.
