Laurina, short film directed by Sylvia Caminer
Donation protected
80 years before the #metoo movement, Italian Immigrant Laurina, grandmother of the film's writers, not only survived, but ultimately triumphed over an abuser that left her traumatized and pregnant at just 13 years-old, (scroll down for more).
Based on her real-life journals, this short film celebrates Laurina's courage and shows how she used her experience to give strength to generations of silent victims in her community and in her own family.
We have Sylvia Caminer, a two-time Emmy winning Director, and a growing team of talented artists eager to start filming this fall, but we need your help to make it happen by then!
We also have 2 incredible investors that believe enough in this project to have given us $20k out of the 50k budget.
There is a tremendous amount of work we need to do quickly if we're to film by this fall. Please helps us by giving whatever you can to bring this story to the screen.
