Tablets and Laptops Lawrence Tavern Dist

Lawrence Tavern Primary School is where it all started for many of you, including my mother and her mother. Many families in the Lawrence Tavern District have so much memories of their childhood and growing up in the beautiful hills of St. Andrew.  We want those memories to continue for future generations and we also want to support the advancement of those brilliant minds to continue with their education and make us proud.  Family, friends, schoolmates, and Jamaicans in the diaspora I am asking for your help to assist these students in the Lawrence Tavern Region. They are in need of laptops, tablets and other small school supplies to help during this pandemic. Most are doing remote learning and have no access to these technologies.  It is already back to school and most of the students in rural  communities across our island are without access to WiFi, laptops, tablets or other devices to help with remote learning. Children in the Lawrence Tavern Region are especially in need of our help.  Most parents had to turn their cellphones into learning tools so their children can continue to learn. Some households have multiple children with only one device and others are completely without access because they do not own or cannot afford a tablet or laptop.  My name is Nickeisha but most people from my home town in Jamaica call me by my nickname, Shim. I visited Jamaica on two occasions since the pandemic and I have heard the concerns of parents in our district. They are concerned their child will be left behind and will not be able to perform to their best abilities because they do not have the necessary tools to learn.  Can you send your support to these families with a small donation? Your small contribution will help to purchase the laptops, tablets and small school supplies to be shipped and distributed to those in need.
