Laying Teresa Carson to rest

Today Rodney got the devastating news that his mother has passed. This was a very unexpected, and sudden loss. Though he is obviously trying to be strong for his family- his heart is clearly broken. Rodney is desperately trying to get back East (to West Virginia from Colorado) to help organize putting his mother to rest. Rodney is a very very proud person.. accepting help is NOT something he really knows how to do.. but I asked him if he would be okay asking for help this one time and he simply gave me a defeated “yes”. Rodney works very hard and pays the mortgage and bills every month, never complains, ever! If you have met him through his work at Big O- you know he is a very talented mechanic that is passionate about helping others and making sure they have a safe vehicle! But now he needs our help- he has been distraught trying to figure out how to pay the mortgage & bills, and be able to afford to fly home and pay for funeral costs. This is a rare time that I am able to help my partner, that I am able to ask others for a helping hand in his name. Rodney simply just wants to be able to fly home and say his goodbyes, help put his mother to rest and arrange her affairs. I know that Christmas just passed, it is the end of the year, times are tough.. but if you’re able to help, even a prayer to Rodney in this time ahead, we would be grateful for anything. I asked Rodney if I had his blessing to make a fundraiser for him.. I expected a flat out no… but he simply hung his head and said “anything would be a blessing right now. I just want to see my mom…I need to be there..” I can’t tell you how painful it is to see such a stoic person in such an emotional state! We thank you deeply for any help, any prayers, any support during this time of loss.

Teresa was like a mother to so many, and so many confided in her. If you needed someone to talk to- she was there. Her grandkids Eleanor & Noah loved FaceTiming with her, she was always so happy and goofy and would make them giggle so much! Our hearts ache thinking of having to explain to them that grammy TT has gone to heaven..we can’t hear her laugh anymore. It was not her time! Teresa will be missed by so many- but her sons Rodney, and KC, her husband Steve, and her best friend- her dog Ace are feeling this loss deeply right now. Please say a prayer for their healing as they navigate this path of mourning. I know she is watching out for all of us now from heaven.. pain free and at peace. Rest easy now TT, we love you!
