Laying to Rest Pete Karalexis

Donation protected
Friends, the time has come once again for us to gather as a family...

As you may know, in the early morning of Friday, June 29th, 2018, Pete Karalexis suffered an unexpected brain aneurysm that left him on life support fighting for his life.

Throughout the weekend, friends and loved ones gathered around the hospital hoping and praying that he’d pull through, but the damage was severe and it wasn’t long before the harsh reality set in that perhaps his time on earth was coming to an end. Sadly, by Sunday evening he was declared brain dead and was ultimately removed from life support.

Pete will always be remembered as a fun-loving guy with endless energy and a smile that could light up a room; as someone who always went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and to let them know they mattered.

The friends and loved ones that gathered to hold vigil for Pete during this trying time are a true testament to the impact he made on the lives of those around him. Near and far, online or in person, all of us who knew Pete have joined together over the past few days to lend support, share beautiful memories, and send love and prayers as he transitioned.

But our work is not done just yet…

In times like these, burdensome expenses are the last thing anyone should have to deal with when they are grieving the loss of a loved one. I’m a firm believer that what you give out in life comes back to you tenfold, and if that is true, then Pete has plenty coming to him for the love and happiness he brought to the lives of many.

So let’s give back to Pete and support his family and his dear sister, Christine, and his closest friend, Antonio, by relieving them of these expenses and giving him the beautiful end of life tribute he deserves. Let’s pitch in so that his family may lay him to rest and celebrate his life without worrying about hospital bills and costly funeral expenses.

Whether you knew him as Pete, Petey, Muffin, Pete the Meat, or any other name you had for him, if he touched your life in any way and you’d like to give back, this is your opportunity.

This GoFundMe page was created in Pete's honor, and the funds will be released to his sister,  Christine.

Although we are saying goodbye to his physical body, his spirit will live on forever.

May you rest in peace, Pete Karalexis.

With love from all of us,
