Layney Brooks

Hi! My name is Hope Hanners. I am raising money on behalf of the Brooks family. On April 29th, Layney Brooks was admitted into Huntsville Hospital Women and Children’s after suddenly not being able to walk. After multiple tests, she was diagnosed with Guillian-Barre syndrome. GB is rare neurological disorder caused by a viral infection that causes the immune system to attack the nerve cells, causing paralysis. Layney was transported to UAB for further treatment. She has a feeding tube and had a central line placed this morning where she will begin Plasmapheresis treatment tomorrow. Recovery time is anywhere from 6 months to a year but we are praying and believing it won’t be that long! If you feel led to give it would help this sweet family tremendously in this hard time.
