More than seven years after my credit was destroyed and my bank account drained by an identity thief, which eventually made me and my mom homeless, we have yet to get back on our feet due to a combination of her health problems as well as continued roadblocks and rejections of our attempts to find permanent housing again. In addition, the media company which purchased my life story rights and offered our only real hope of ever turning things around has breached my contract after three years and has refused to pay me for more than a year now. I'm in the process of finding an attorney to sue them, but in the meantime our monthly expenses (motel, food, plus storage facility for an entire houseful of stuff) exceed our monthly income and all of our savings are now exhausted -- which threatens to put us back on the street again. My mother is now 83 and won't survive a single day on the street. She is practically bedridden and I must take care of her 24/7, making our situation that much more difficult.
