Lazaro goes to Coca Cola Nationals

Lazaro Ruiz Jr. is an incoming freshman at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco, CA. He’s a part of a nationally ranked AAU basketball organization and trains at Urban Student-Athletes Development Academy which serves underserved youth from inner-city communities. Not only does Lazaro play basketball, but he’s also an honor roll student, a member of the City-Wide Black Student Union, and has won 1st place in the 8th-grade science fair.

Lazaro has been invited to the Aces Coca-Cola National Basketball tournament that showcases the top 14-year-olds in the state. The tournament will be held in southern California from June 17 to June 19, 2022. The family will need to raise approximately $3500 to attend this tournament. The total amount raised will cover the costs of an RV rental, gas, food, and water.

Any donation, large or small, would benefit Lazaro and his family for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Any funds received over the donated amount will be used for summer activities including and not limited to Ubers to get to summer camps and additional sports training.
