Help Julie Recover from a Hit-and-Run Accident

Julie was recently involved in a hit-and-run while riding her bike to work on Orange Ave and PCH in Long Beach. While we are so grateful she’s alive, she has sustained significant injuries.

She has has a fractured tailbone, but the most serious injury is a burst fracture of her L1 vertebra. To prevent any further damage or collapse, doctors need to insert stabilizing rods into her spine.

Unfortunately, the mounting medical bills are overwhelming. Hoping we can rally together as a community to ease some of the financial stress while Julie is in the hospital and recovering. Any amount you can donate, big or small, will make a difference.

Julie has worked at Ficklewood Cidery and, more recently, at Long Beach Beer Lab. I met Julie at Ficklewood around late 2021, when a friend and I started doing shows there and eventually became friends If you’ve ever been served by Julie, you know how awesome, kind-hearted, personable, and sweet she is —a true Long Beach gem.

All funds raised will be transferred directly to Julie to support her medical expenses, which has already been set up!
