Gone Too Soon - Michele Lives On...

Michele Garland - Alberry was a wife, a daughter, a sister, a best friend, a trusted confidante, a three-time cancer survivor, and a kindergarten teacher.

On Sunday, January 25th, 2015, she didn't wake up.  She was only 46 years old.

She left behind all who loved her, who remembered how she always made time for friends, had kind words for others, and a heart big enough to carry good thoughts for everyone.

Especially children.

Michele was a teacher who gave the gift of love.  Her students KNEW they were loved, and that they were also smart, strong, able, and valued.  She left an indelible mark on the soul of every student she taught, and believed that EVERY child was special, and important to the world.

In memory of Michele, her family has set up a fund in her honor, to benefit the students and the school who miss her so.  In the words of her Principal, "I am sad to think of all the students that will never benefit from having Michele as their teacher."

Her students in the North Wasco County Public Schools (The Dalles, Oregon) will be creating a tile mosaic project to honor Michele, and the funds will be used to provide the books, clothing, school supplies, and other necessary items that Michele worked so hard to make sure that every one of her students had in these difficult financial times.

Please honor Michele by contributing to the "Gone Too Soon - Michele Lives On..." fund.  Together, we can continue some of the magic that Michele's life created.
