Parent Packs

Every parents worst fear is having their child admitted into hospital due to an illness. My husband I have our fair share of these visits, be it one of our children having a routine operation to one of them being admitted for an infection called lymphadenitis. 

Watching the parents who come in with their childrengot me thinking - there must be so many parents who come in completely unexpectedly and unprepared. I certainly was, but I had my husband and family helping out by bringing things in for me and our little boy. There are, however, so many parents who don't always have this help and therefore don't have any way of getting hold of the basic essentials for an overnight stay.

Therefore I thought it would be really great if the ward had Parent Packs which they could provide to parents for the first nights stay if needed.  Each Pack would, contain the following basic essentials:

Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Travel Size Shampoo
Travel Size Conditioner
Bodywash
Deodorant
Small Bar of Chocolate 
Washbag

The cost to do these packs is £6 each. They would be donated to the Children's Ward who in turn who give them to the parents.
