LCpl. Seth Hodges Funeral Fundraiser

On January 10, 2021, we lost a Marine Veteran LCpl. Seth Hodges. Seth served with 3rd Battalion 8th Marine Regiment, India Company from 2006 to 2010. He deployed with 3/8 as an infantryman in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in 2008-2009. On January 10th he passed away at his home, leaving behind his young son. Our charity (3/8 OIF & OEF Veterans) is in contact with his family and are assisting them with funeral costs. Please donate to assist Hodges family during this hard time.
ALL donations will go to provide assistance to Seth’s family and his son. Donations are being raise through 3/8 OIF & OEF Veterans, 501(c)3 Non-Profit, and all donors will receive a tax-write off receipt.
Family and friends are invited to attend a “walk-through” visitation at Chapman Funeral Home between the hours of 6pm and 8pm Thursday, January 14, 2021. Graveside service with military honors will be held 2:30pm Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be respected.

About Seth:
LCpl. Seth Edward Hodges – November 12, 1985 – January 10, 2021
35, of Scott Depot, WV; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, India Company, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; passed away suddenly at his home on January 10, 2021. A 2004 graduate of Winfield High School where he participated in wrestling. Seth enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served with 3/8 from 2006 to 2010. He deployed with 3/8 to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, 2008-2009. One of Seth’s favorite past times was riding his Harley throughout WV’s country roads. He sought outdoor adventure in our beautiful state and he loved to have a good time with his family and friends. In addition to his mother, Seth is survived by his son, Bentley William Hodges; brother, Jordan Hodges of West Palm Beach, FL; his Golden Retriever, Daisy; his former wife and her son, Allison George and Noah Welch of Elkview.
3/8 OIF & OEF Veteran is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that provides financial and lifetime support and assistance to Post-9/11 Veterans and their families. Many of Post-9/11 veterans are still suffering from physical, mental, and emotional wounds such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). We want to ensure that they have the resources they need to recover from their injuries and transition back to their civilian lives.
