Long-time friend and collaborator Elinor Armer remembers Ursula K. Le Guin in 'To the Western Sea'-- a recording of her settings of poems from collections spanning Le Guin's lifetime, plus the first aria from the opera 'Lavinia', a collaborative project just begun before Le Guin's death.
Under contract with Centaur Records-- Production was delayed by pandemic, but now we're back! Performers include mezzos Mariya Kaganskaya, Wendy Hillhouse, and Kindra Scharich, pianists Elinor Armer, Lois Brandwynne, and Keisuke Nakagoshi, flutist Esther Landau, violinist Rira Watanabe, and percussionist Erica Johnson.
