As you all know, the global pandemic known as Covid-19 has taken a grave toll on all of our lives, both personally and professionally. It is no harder felt than right here in New York City, where the crisis has reached epic proportions. Our city, once buzzing with activity, has come to a screeching halt - the quiet streets, the empty restaurants, the dark theaters and the general feeling of unease.
Although we have kept our doors open here at Le Moulin a Cafe, it was with great sadness that we had to let go of most of our hard-working staff. These loyal employees have not only lost their income, but also a sense of belonging as they struggle to provide for themselves and their families. We are humbly asking for any contribution you can make at this time to help them weather this unprecedented storm. We are grateful for your support as we try to piece our lives back together again, and we appreciate all you can do to help us over his hurdle.
We will get through this as a city and as a nation, and we look forward to the days when we can all be together again and enjoy even a simple cup of coffee with family and friends.
