Lead Safe Mama Lab Testing: Classic Goldfish Crackers

In support of a series of articles that we wrote many years ago - about the concern for Antimony contamination in Peanut butter packaged in plastic jars - we are hoping to test two peanut butters. Two tests would be run on each peanut butter sample type - which is why this campaign has a higher goal than previous campaigns. We would run one set of tests for Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic contamination - & a second laboratory test for Antimony contamination.

With these campaigns we will be testing TWO organic peanut butters - one packaged in plastic and one packaged in glass. Our hypothesis (based on the research on the subject that we have done to date) is that the peanut butter packaged in the plastic jar will likely have higher levels of Antimony than the peanut butter packaged in a glass jar (Antimony was added to the list of known carcinogens in December of 2021) - and that the peanut butter packaged in a glass jar may even test non-detect for Antimony. Please contribute to this campaign or the one for the other peanut butter if you are also interested in seeing the outcome of this comparison. Thank you.

We may launch a few more peanut butter campaigns for part of this series if we get enough feedback from others that they would like us to test more different brands.
