Leadership Duluth Music for Life Project: Providing Access to Music Lessons and Instruments for Life House Youth
Playing an instrument opens possibilities for creative expression, deeper learning, meaningful social connections, healing, and lifelong skills. Without access to an instrument or lessons, it can be challenging to make music.
To overcome this barrier to access, the Music for Life Project will support Life House youth in accessing guitars and in-house music lessons for one year, access to local music workshops, as well as guitar maintenance and supplies. Life House will support this project in connection with its new music studio program.
Partnering with the Northerly School of Music and String Works, the Leadership Duluth Music for Life project team has begun accepting donations of guitars. Maybe you have one collecting dust in your house? You can donate it by contacting Tim Leutgeb.
Our Go Fund Me campaign will provide weekly lessons, access to music workshops, instrument maintenance, and necessary supplies to make this project come to life!
Our goal is to raise $4,000 by June 1st. As a community-driven project, individual and corporate donations of any amount will make an impact. All fundraising will go through the Duluth Area Chamber Foundation and 100% of proceeds will benefit this project.
