Leah & Gabby's Medical Fund
Donation protected
On December 30, 2016, our dear co-worker and friend, Leah Campbell, her dog Gabby, and a friend of Leah's, were victims in a tragic 3-car accident. This happened on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge during evening rush-hour traffic. Leah's vehicle was struck multiple times. She and her friend were flown to the shock trauma center in Baltimore for treatment of serious injuries. They remain hospitalized as of today, January 5. Leah has suffered broken bones and a blood clot in her lungs, and underwent surgery earlier this week. ![](https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/17229776_1484016849.2704_funddescription.jpg)
Gabby, Leah's lovable canine companion, was also seriously injured in the accident. Taken to an emergency veterinary clinic, Gabby has undergone surgery for a spinal cord injury that had left her unable to walk. With the help of excellent veterinarians, Gabby is making progress and it is anticipated that she will be able to walk again.
Working full-time as a veterinary technician at Chesapeake Veterinary Hospital on Kent Island, MD, Leah helps to care for thousands of animals in our community. She and Gabby--whose frequent appearances always bring smiles to everyone's face--have been terribly missed by co-workers and hospital clients.
Leah's and Gabby's medical bills are growing day-by-day. It is uncertain when Leah will be able to return to work. We are seeking to raise funds to help Leah and Gabby with their medical bills and living expenses.
Any donation you can make will help us reach our goal. We want our beloved co-worker and friend to focus on her recovery. We are tremendously thankful for your support in this effort!
