Leah's Birthday! Help Her Fund Her Short

Depression is a beast. It robs me of self belief, peace, and the ability to see past tomorrow. The cure? Art. In whatever capacity, but especially filmmaking. This avenue connects me the strongest to...well, my soul. Without art, I'm a sour and sad person.

Filmmaking, however, unlike poetry, costs money. Sometimes a lot of money. You may remember that I sold everything that I owned (except my bed and my car) in order to fund my feature film. For my birthday this year, I'm not asking for gifts, for you to send me beautiful pictures of your day (but you can still do that), I'm asking you to help me not be sad. Help me make art instead.

This horror short is a mother's journey to protect the soul's of her children. I'm using shadow and light a long with a great musical composition to tell this story. I only need to pay my DP, two puppeteers, my composer, a sound mixer and a colorist in order to get this done. It's a smaller budget short film, but oh so doable.
