Leah's funeral and expenses
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Alonie Ashley, and I'm currently leading efforts to raise funds for my two-year-old cousin. I received a call during school, informing me of her unfortunate accident. At that pivotal moment, nothing could stop me from rushing to her side, because this young girl in its simplest form was the very essence of kindness.
On Thursday, September 28, 2023, at approximately 7:51 AM, Leah was tragically hit by a vehicle. She was urgently transported to the hospital and was declared deceased at approximately 9:15 AM. The sheer heartbreak of this incident, when merely hearing the basic details, cannot fully capture the immense blessing that this young girl represented.
Leah exemplified kindness, intelligence, and compassion, but her willingness to help others stood out as her most noticeable quality. Whether it was her parents, grandparents, cousins, or anyone she encountered, Leah was always there to lend a hand.
Leah is part of a family with three additional siblings: a six-year-old brother, a four-year-old sister, and a baby sister who is just eleven months old.
Leah had a strong desire to learn, even though she wasn't old enough for school. Her favorite subject of study was mastering her older sister's cheerleading stunts; she became proficient in all of them, eagerly anticipating the day she could proudly wear the Junior Garfield Gators uniform.
Because of Leah's tremendous generosity and compassion—at such a young age, these traits were truly remarkable—her legacy will live on in our hearts for all time. She will be greatly missed. Heaven has gained an angel whose uniqueness was unmatched on Earth.
The funds raised will be directed towards covering the expenses related to the funeral and providing essential support to the immediate family. This assistance will cover a range of necessities, such as groceries, counseling, and any other necessities during this difficult period.
Assistance doesn't always have to be financial; it can come in various forms. If you are aware of any resources or support services that could be beneficial, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email.
