Leaking Water Pipes ~ Thanks for any help
Donation protected
UPDATE ~ A licenced and insured plumber from my church has stepped up to help, so all I need left to raise is $1,388.00 ~ thanks so much to all of y'all who have been so generous thus far! I really appreciate the love & help you have shown!
Hello, my name is Renée, I live in Vero Beach, FL. I'm 67 years old. My husband is Dave and he is 82. Dave was a sheriff's deputy and I was a teacher.
Our home was built in 1968. We purchased it in 2019 using my husband’s VA loan. He is a Vietnam Veteran. He has had 2 strokes and now, because he can no longer walk and other medical issues, he lives in a nursing home.
The house has copper pipes and they have worn out and sprung a leak. They need to be fixed ASAP.
UPDATE ~ The leak is in the hot water line in the slab, in fact that’s how I discovered it, my tile floor was “hot” but just along a stretch. My cousin Bill came over and checked the meter. When he turned off the hot water heater the meter stopped spinning. As of right now that’s how I am managing it. But the longer I wait I’m afraid more leaks will start.
I have a trusted plumber who has assessed the situation and agreed with Bill. He will be doing the work as soon as I can get the funds.
Hope this clears some things up for y’all. Thanks again for all the input and suggestions. Please help, if you cannot donate, share my information to your social media.
I have no funds to fix the pipes and would appreciate any help you can offer. If you would prefer to donate via Zelle to avoid any fees, please let me know. Thank you and God Bless.
