Leanis of Fort Myers Beach After Hurricane Ian
Donation protected
This fundraising campaign is for Leanis, a Fort Myers Beach landmark since 1977. Leanis was a complete loss due to the massive destruction caused by hurricane Ian. Carrie Smith is a small business owner who operates Leanis in the Santini Plaza in Fort Myers Beach. Not only was Leanis the main financial support to Carrie, her husband David and their special needs son Jordan, but it also provided an extended family to 17 employees, its customers, other local small businesses, UPS and FedEx delivery drivers and many others who frequented the store. EVERYONE matters at Leanis, and because of that, Carrie refers to her business network as “Team Leanis.” There is always a feeling of welcome and happiness when entering the store, and Carrie is proud that each employee provides a sense of ownership and is committed to the success of the business.
All funds raised will be used for rebuilding Leanis and helping others in the Leanis extended family who are in need after the devastating effects of Hurricane Ian. At this time, Carrie is being told that insurance may not cover her losses based on technicalities for hurricanes and storm surge damage. Leanis is a complete financial loss, but Carrie is determined to find a way to rebuild. Thank you for considering a donation to support Carrie Smith and the Leanis community in these difficult times. Also, please take the time to forward this fundraising effort to anyone else that may be interested in helping support Carrie and Team Leanis.
Consider following Leanis on Facebook for updates on damage, her community and the rebuilding process.
