It’s Time!

About 6 years ago, God put a fire in my soul to respond to a need in the community... the lack of youth programming. From this fire, a non profit was born, providing Recreation, Education & Creative Arts to communities with limited resources. Since then, the fire has not been contained, instead it has been fueled beyond measure!
About a year later, my husband and I decided to put it all on the line to respond to this calling. I decided to quit working outside of the home (and with 4 kids this decision didn’t come lightly). However, we were in the pursuit of true happiness. It was clear that the fire was to discover how to allow youth to fall back in love with learning. My eyes became open to so many issues preventing youth from reaching their full potential. The result was a variety of different early learning and after-school programs.
A short time later, God decided to make it clear we weren’t quite there. My husband was suddenly and abruptly let go from work. We knew sometimes God pushes a little to make you finally take the jump. So here we are, almost 6 years later, programs thriving, opportunities opening left and right and a husband and wife duo that refuses to give up on the path God has set out before us.
The Problem: we are stretched far and wide. We have responded to the need but in doing so we have scattered ourselves across multiple cities and counties. We feel that God is calling us to reel in the momentum and give these programs a permanent and dedicated space.
The Solution: We have identified a property that would not only allow us to house our programs under one roof, but would allow us to expand our programs to reach a larger number of youth. Providing more programs, more access and more resources.
The program budget is as follows:
$300,000 to acquire real estate
$100,000 for renovations
$100,000 for start up funds
This budget will allow us to purchase a permanent location, offer our services to more families and ultimately inspire more youth to fall back in love with learning.
Please help us help our youth, our future and our hope for a better tomorrow.
Disclaimer: This project is being overseen by the Learning Nest, Araiza FDC and the Early Learning Academy. It is not being overseen by the non profit. However, the grand plan will include opportunities to also come alongside and further support our efforts with the nonprofit.
