Learning Every Kilometer

Who We Are:
We're a group of five women, ranging from 45 to 65 years young, gearing up for a crazy challenge: rowing 180 km down the majestic Douro river! Our strongest motivation is supporting the educational project "On the air!".
What We're Doing:
From September 1-5, 2024, we'll row down the Duero River to raise funds for the artistic and scientific education of students at School Nº 54 Clemente Estable in Cerro Partido, Uruguay.
We invite you to see the message Leticia sends us from Uruguay!
Why We're Doing It:
It is our heartfelt commitment to giving back and empower the next generation. With your support, we'll fund engaging field activities and scientific workshops that empower students to explore and understand their natural environment. At the end of the project, students will share the acquired knowledge with their schoolmates and the broader community through scientific podcasts, broadcasted on the local school radio “Del Cerro al Mundo". But more importantly, students will learn to work together, improve their communication skills and navigate the difficult social context in which they live.
How You Can Join our Boats:
By sponsoring the number of km of your choice! Whether it's 10 CHF/km (that is 100 CHF per 10 km!), or your chosen amount. Every cent will be entirely donated to the project, as we will cover our own expenses as our donation to the project.

Together, let's row for the children of Cerro Partido, one kilometer at a time.
Thank you for being a part of the challenge!
