Learning Remotely for Oakland Public School Kids

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Los Amigos de Manzanita SEED, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. Let's help ALL Manzanita SEED Elementary students learn remotely!
The Challenge: Manzanita SEED Elementary is a Spanish-English dual-language immersion TK-5 public elementary school in the Oakland Unified School District. SEED serves a high number of low-income families who lack computers to access online lessons which are now the only portal for learning from their teachers under the shelter in place order. While the teachers have adapted their lesson plans and are prepared to deliver classes online, many students would be left behind, resulting in inequitable outcomes, exacerbating the impacts of the COVID-19 school shutdown of unknown duration. The school Principal, Diane Lang, asked parents to support in the effort to secure tech for more students.
The Solution: School teachers estimate that a minimum of 50 laptops are necessary for underserved students to access lessons, which are set to begin on Monday, March 23. At a cost of $150 per laptop, the total cost would be $7,500 to obtain enough laptops to help students in the most need. Additional funding may be needed to fulfill all of SEED's students' needs while learning remotely. Los Amigos de SEED, a non-profit organization administered by parents, is seeking in-kind, $donations$, and discounts to secure these key learning tools at the earliest possibility.
Seeds About SEED:
-423 children attend SEED, located in the Fruitvale neighborhood in Oakland.
-Approximately 65 percent of the students qualify for free and reduced cost lunch.
-The vision of SEED is to cultivate a bilingual, multicultural, intellectually curious and socially just school where students are encouraged to support and learn from their diverse community.
-Our school community holds equity as our driving value and students pursue their education with the support necessary so that each of them can participate, excel and reach their full potential.
