Learning Ukrainian in One Week!

Next month I will be taking on a challenge to learn Ukrainian in one week. In this week, I will take 50 hours of online lessons with Ukrainian teachers (all of whom are still living in Ukraine). I will be going into this challenge not knowing a word of Ukrainian. The aim will be to speak fluently(ish) by the end of the week.

As an online English tutor, I have several Ukrainian students. Once I have completed the challenge, I will record a conversation with them (with their consent) while speaking to them in their language for the first time.

In addition, there will be a short video to document the week with a few clips from my online lessons and other work, finishing with the all-important conversations at the end with my native students.

The challenge will start on Sunday, 9th October and finish on the following Saturday, and the short video will be uploaded as soon as possible once everything has been recorded.

All donations will go to British-Ukrainian Aid, a British-based charity offering medical and humanitarian aid to those in Ukraine as well as Ukrainian refugees here in the UK.
