My name is Harry Shade, I am a spiritual man on a mission and social entrepreneur. As a former criminal investigator, I experienced first hand the devastating effects of crime on people and society. Literacy has a direct correlation with crime. Knowing that I can help people with such a life changing thing as learning to read, fits right into my personal and professional goal of doing all I can to help people be better, which in turn helps society grow and evolve.
I am excited, honored and proud to be working with a major program that is already having a tremendous impact on the lives of people it has touched. 
The program is “YES YOU CAN READ NOW!” Universal Reading Method. YesYouCanReadNow . Through the program, we are able to teach people to read or improve reading skills and/or comprehension in two and a half (2.5) hours or less. You read that right…..2.5 hours or less!
Remember when you learned to read? How excited you were and the new world's it opened up to you?
Before I go further, I want to share some literacy facts & statistics that blew my mind and I am sure will do yours as well!
· In the U.S. alone, 93+ million adults are illiterate. That's 93 MILLION! Almost 30% of the US population!
· In our schools, on average 35%, of all kids that graduate are reading at an 8th grade level or less and those are the ones that actually graduate. Those that don't graduate have numbers that are obviously much worse!
· Socio-economic impact: 
· Illiteracy and crime are closely related. The Department of Justice Website, justice.gov, said, "The link between academic failure and delinquency, violence, and crime is welded to reading failure.” It also reported that more than 70 percent of inmates in America's prisons cannot read above a fourth-grade level.
Our amazing program teaches people to read and/or improves their reading skills/comprehension in 2.5 hours or less. Over 1000 people have taken the program with a success rate of over 98% .
For whom does the Universal Reading Method work?
> We have helped men, women & children from ages 3 to 84.
> We have helped people where English is their second language (ESL).
> We have helped stroke victims regain and/or improve their cognitive abilities.
> We have helped people who are dyslexic or have autism.

We have the one and only proven, tested, easy, simple program to do the job. We just need your help in getting it to those people who cannot afford to do it themselves.
Every $297 raised, provides a scholarship for one person to participate in this life-changing program! Imagine what the gift of literacy will mean to them, their families, their employers and society as a whole!
When we reach our goal, we will have raised enough to provide almost 85 scholarships but we want to go WAY above that, we truly want to help 1000 people in the next six months which would mean raising $300k. Easy to do with all your help!
This will be an ongoing program. We need the funds immediately to be able to give out our first scholarships.
As part of the program, we will be asking the participants to volunteer to be interviewed before and after to give their thoughts and for you to be able to see their reaction, when they know they can read! We will be sharing their videos and stories!
