With your support and other donors’ funding, we have successfully

 

 Received and efficiently delivered more than $38 million in crucial medical supplies and pharmaceuticals   (1000+ palettes) that have been gathered and donated through ingenious efforts of US based organizations and Lebanese American citizens via  www.lebanonreliefproject.com 

Conducted physically more than 55 delivery trips to hospitals, large and small community health centers throughout the country from the distant North to the far South 

Assessed directly several health centers’ needs nationally and later delivered much needed supplies to help them fulfill their mission

Initiated and sponsored civil society actions from delivering medications to private homes to finding solutions to the current economic dilemma
 
Visited and documented functions and expertise of several local NGO’s with a view to consolidating efforts and to avoid diluting competencies and resources

Executed donor directed programs including funding and installing several ICU bed units in 4 hospitals

sponsored programs involving a dialogue between care taker government and civil activists to serve the common interest of the Lebanese people 

Funded some students’ tuition payments for the school year 2020/2021

Contributed to some families’ monthly rent payments and medical treatments

Advocated successfully to reduce the dollar exchange rate’s delta for the world bank’s aid to poor families 

Funded and opened a mini food market in El Mina, Tripoli offering food and basic supplies to poor families 
 
However, what we have achieved, thus far, is being lessened by the emerging needs based on the continuous deterioration of the situation. The disappearance of most medications from most pharmacies’ shelves coupled with the eventual lifting of subsidies and the ongoing heinous financial dilemma are paralyzing and dwarfing basic living conditions to millions! Government run, and managed hospitals are depleting their resources with no foreseeable organized replenishment.

 
We are asking for your financial support to allow us to continue to maintain our mission of helping people at the grass root level one hand at a time. We have access to much needed medications that are sitting at warehouses all over the United States; however, the cost of shipping and logistics is becoming a huge and unaffordable burden. It will be a shame for us not to try to get them shipped and delivered the desperate recipients in Lebanon the swiftest way possible. Your generous donation will also help us initiate and sustain new programs such as:

 
The urgent continuation and sustainability of our pharmaceuticals and medical supplies delivery programs

Sustaining food delivery program to poor immobile families in many marginalized neighborhoods

Supporting women empowerment programs 

Establishing vocational training centers within poor communities to encourage some form of disciplined learning for the youth
