Be our lifeline

Lebanon is struggling to breathe. COVID-19 infections are skyrocketing, doctors and nurses are exhausted, hospitals are running out of beds, oxygen supply, life-saving equipment and medications. The country is suffering and the death toll is rising. There is an urgent need for assistance.

Lebanon Needs teamed up with Ahla Fawda, AUB Khaddit Beirut, Baytna Baytak, and Shaabi Mas2ouliyati, with support from the Order of Nurses, the International Lebanese Medical Association, and the Volunteer Circle to devise the following emergency intervention plan:

 Holding an awareness campaign to promote best practices and combat misinformation.

 Training municipalities to run decentralized hotlines to help triage patients, refer severe cases to the nearest available hospital, and to provide home-based care to outpatients and newly discharged patients, including nursing care, oxygen concentrators, and medications.

 Providing healthcare institutions with respirators, life-saving equipment, PPE, and medications.

 Supporting vaccination efforts once Lebanon receives the vaccines.
