LEDBURY CARNIVAL IN JEOPARDY
Donation protected
The Ledbury Carnival and Street Procession take place every year on August Bank Holiday Monday.
The Carnival is a community event and its aim is to provide a day of entertainment and enjoyment for all. Local and National Charities, Local Clubs and Groups use this event to fundraise, promote their services and attract new membership.
On the day, there will be Charity stalls, Trade stalls, Live bands on stage in the High Street, a fun fair, and other family entertainment. The Carnival procession runs from the Rugby Club, along New Street, into the High Street, The Homend, down Orchard Lane and finishes at Ledbury Primary School.
The Carnival Association is a local organisation, with a committee of volunteers. The many costs of organising the event including live music, children’s entertainment, first aid, insurance, security etc amount to approx £16,000.
2023 is the 49th year of the Ledbury Carnival post-war. We want to keep it going for many more years. Every donation will help cover the cost and will give many thousands of people of all ages enjoyment on the day.
