Lee Coleman Medical Emergency

If you have been around Eatonton, local high school sports, or read The Eatonton Messenger, you probably know Lee Coleman.

Lee is a staple in our community. He is an Associate Editor for the newspaper and greatly impacts our community with his articles. Lee walks the sidelines of our children's games, and he rides the bus with them to away games. He wears their school colors with pride. He gives memories that we can "clip" and save for when our children are grown to share with their children. Lee puts our stories into words to remain in the history of Putnam County and our local area.

Now Lee, and his wife Leann, need their community to support them during Lee's unexpected medical emergency.

Lee took a fall and injured his foot during our Gatewood basketball game at Augusta Prep. An infection set in, and it was necessary to amputate a toe. Upon further examination, it was discovered the infection had spread. Therefore another surgery is needed to remove more bone and is scheduled for Monday, February 28th. Lee will also be required to go to Putnam General every day for six weeks for an antibiotic additive in his pic-line.

As you can imagine, the medical bills are mounting, and Lee and LeAnn could use some assistance. If you can and feel led to donate, please do so here. They are grateful for your consideration.

This is just a setback for Lee, and he looks forward to recovering and getting back on those sidelines!
